Almost one month before the DAD projects ends, the Final Event took place in Vienna on the 24th of January 09 and was moderated by one of Austrians famous broadcast moderator and dual father Dorian Steidl. The event "Daddy Cool" was a special event for fathers-to-be (mothers to be were also welcome to join this happening!).
In a playful and informing way men were motivated to actively participate in baby care. In order to realize these goals, different theme island that reflects the theme chapters of the DAD guide made the topics realistically enable to be experienced. Different sort of contests f.e. changing nappies, binding baby slings or dressing the baby (of course with baby dolls), gave the men the motivation to give proof of their talents.
The event enabled also the presentation of the project, its aims, benefits and results to a broad public. For this purpose the DAD guide was presented to the target group at a computer station.
Health experts, potential sponsors, midwifes, baby-swim trainer, midwifes in training, networkpartners and many more people took part of the event and supported the Daddy Cool event with their expertise.
The DAD partners were very active in disseminting the DAD project and the e-learning service for fathers-to-be in their respective country. They presented the project and the results at various international and national events.
